 Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course

The CFD-IC graduate will demonstrate instructor competencies to teach, train, and facilitate learning in an adult learning environment. The 80 hour course combines the outcomes of the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), the Small Group Instructor Training Course (SGITC), and the Faculty Development Program Phase 1 (FDP1).

Evaluator Instructor Course

The Evaluating Instructors Course (EIC) is a 16-hour workshop that prepares WHINSEC faculty and staff to implement the Faculty Development and Recognition Program (FDRP). The workshop takes an in depth look at the FDRP requirements to establish and maintain this Army University program to badge instructors who seek further professional development.

Lesson Author Course

The course is primarily self-directed, with both in-class and out-of-class requirements. Working in collaborative teams, students will develop and coordinate products for each of the five phases of the ADDIE process. The course steps the students through the process, covering one phase each day.

Advanced Faculty Development Program

Advanced Faculty Development (AFD) is a 3-day, 24-hour course that examines adult learning theory and educational processes to help experienced faculty members improve their learning environment management skills.  The outcome of this course is for experienced Command and General Staff College (CGSC) faculty to improve their adult learning environment management skills.
